There are Layers in Cyber Security!!!!
Cyber Security, it’s not a single program or a piece of technology that provides and improves security. Rather, it is a layered approach with multiple facets to provide comprehensive protection.
The following are the 7 layers of Cyber Security:
MISSION CRITICAL-ASSETS: This is the data that is most vital to the user or any company, These assets are your financial records at the bank, medical reports at hospitals, etc.
DATA SECURITY: It protects the storage and transfer of user data. This will also require the use of encryption and archiving.
APPLICATION SECURITY: It controls and protects the access to an application, an application’s access to your mission-critical assets, and the internal security of the application.
ENDPOINT SECURITY: It makes sure that the endpoint of user devices is safe from all breaches, like the protection of desktops, laptops, and mobile devices. It enables protection between the devices and the network.
NETWORK SECURITY: Its main aim is to prevent unauthorized access to the network and also protect an organization’s network.
PERIMETER SECURITY: It protects both physical and digital security methodologies. It includes things like firewalls that protect the network against external forces.
HUMAN LAYER: Humans are the weakest link in any cybersecurity posture. It incorporates management controls and phishing simulations as an example.
